3 Solubility It is freely soluble in water, soluble in ethanol (96%).
4 Appearance of solution Solution S is clear and colourless.
5 Acidity or alkalinity Not more than 0.5 mL of 0.01 M hydrochloric acid or 0.01 M sodium hydroxide is required to change the colour of the indicator.
6 Bromates No blue or violet colour develops.
7 Chlorides Not more than 0.6%.
8 Sulfates Not more than 0.01%.
9 Iodides The lower layer is colourless.
10 Iron Not more than 20 ppm.
11 Magnesium and alkaline-earth metals Not more than 200 ppm, calculated as Ca.
12 Loss on drying Not more than 3.0%.
13 Assay Not less than 98.5% to not more than 101.0% (dried substance).

PACKAGING

MOLBROM™ SB is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 5 years. Preserved in well-closed containers.
